Science communicator and educator

Gina is a science communicator and community forest ecologist with an M.S. in Plant Biology. She is interested in expanding the reach of science to audiences across the world, through her writing and other science communication work.

She is currently a Biology Lecturer at Hawaii Pacific University, is a freelance science writer, and is the founder of The Coffee Conflict and SciXplorers.

Her writing spans all breadths of science, mainly focusing on nature, the environment and our connection with nature. Her work has appeared in The Xylom, BotanyOne, and The Los Angeles Times.
